LAFAYETTE, Colo., July 10 -- The city of LaFayette issued the following news release:
Since 2004, the mercury levels detected at wastewater treatment plants in Lafayette have dropped significantly. Following the model of other communities, like Boulder and Ft Collins, the city of Lafayette enacted a local ordinance requiring all dental offices to install equipment that prevents mercury and other metals from entering wastewater treatment plants and local waterways.
