WASHINGTON, Oct. 20 -- The office of Sen. Tom Harkin, D-Iowa, issued the following news release:
Senator Tom Harkin (D-IA) today announced that the U.S. Department of Treasury had awarded $110 million in tax credits to Iowa based organizations investing in rural and urban low-income communities. The awards are being made under the 2008 round of the New Markets Tax Credit Program (NMTC.).
