WASHINGTON, Oct. 17 -- The office of Sen. Mary L. Landrieu, D-La., issued the following news release:
United States Senator Mary Landrieu, D-La., today announced the release of an additional $5.1 billion in federal Low-Income Heating and Energy/Assistance Program (LIHEAP) funds. Louisiana will receive $61,501,777 to assist low-income Louisianians pay high electricity bills, which are expected to rise further this winter.
