Vital Statistics Office Returns to Normal Operations
TOPEKA, Kan., Sept. 2 -- The Kansas Department of Health and Environment issued the following news release:
The Kansas Department of Health and Environment's (KDHE) Vital Statistics Office has returned to normal operations after a three-day deployment of about 50 agency volunteers to eliminate the backlog of ordinary vital record requests.
At the close of business Wednesday, just over 800 applications remain, but they will require additional handling due to irregularities in the requests.
