EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla., Aug. 25 -- The U.S. Air Force Materiel Command issued the following news release:
An F-16 Fighting Falcon was blown apart on the Eglin range Aug. 19 as part of a test to determine future development of next-generation fighter technology.
