Canadian Forest Industry and Environmental Groups Sign World's Largest Conservation Agreement

Today 21 member companies of the Forest Products Association of Canada (FPAC), and nine leading environmental organizations, unveiled an unprecedented agreement - the Canadian Boreal Forest Agreement - that applies to 72 million hectares of public forests licensed to FPAC members. Controlled Moose Hunt Set for Eastern Aroostook County
AUGUSTA, Maine, May 18 -- The Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife issued the following news release:
The Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife will be conducting a controlled moose hunt in Aroostook County again in 2010 in response to farmers' concerns about crop depredation and to address the increasing incidence of moose/vehicle collisions along Routes 1 and 161.
